Fiverr has always been a great source of supplemental income for me, but I know some people have just starting using the platform, and are looking to learn more about how to get the most money out of it, as well as how to work on Fiverr in general. So here are ten ways to get more money while working on Fiverr! Note that I’ve written this based on my own personal experience, so there may be other ways you can do this – this is just what has worked best for me!
1- Create Several Profiles
2- Invite Friends
A quick and easy way to make more money on Fiverr is through
your social network. Letting your friends know you're a service provider can
give you some instant referrals and help you get paid. Take it one step
further, however, by offering your friends special deals or discounts that they
won't be able to find anywhere else. This will help you stand out as an
industry leader in your field and make it easier for people in your network to
remember who you are when they need similar services for themselves. Plus,
making money should always be about more than just money — helping people is
what makes it worth doing!
3- Always Accept Jobs Promptly
If you want to make as much money as possible on Fiverr, there’s one rule that you should always follow: accept jobs quickly. The longer a job sits in your queue, often times, the less valuable it becomes. That’s because many buyers are willing to pay more for services that are in demand. This means when you take too long to accept a job offer and they get sold out from under you, sometimes multiple times, your buyer will stop offering $5 gigs altogether.
4- Specialize in One Category
It’s easier for buyers to find you if you have a specialty.
Take time before you launch your gig by brainstorming and then writing out a
list of niche ideas. Brainstorm as many ideas as possible and make sure each
one is specific enough that it can’t easily be lumped into an existing category
or something else. After brainstorming, narrow down your choices based on
popularity, marketability, availability of help materials, and similar things
that potential buyers would care about. For example, writing or website design
are too general—instead try brand logo design, confused cat meme creation, or
best friend birthday video. Buttons are more specific than websites so keep
that in mind when choosing a title..
5- Give Extra Attention to Every Job
Although there are certainly tasks that can be done quickly
on Fiverr, some of them don’t bring in a lot of money. So what you need to do
is give every client as much attention as possible. Follow through quickly and
professionally at all times—even if you can’t say yes when they ask for
revisions or changes. Once you get a reputation for delivering quality work,
with great turnaround time, you won’t have any trouble getting repeat business
from clients.
6- Take Job Requests Seriously
You'll learn a lot about yourself, your skills and what
you're willing (or not willing) to do for money when you start taking jobs.
Just be sure to list all requirements and tasks up front before accepting a
job, so that customers know exactly what they're paying for. Even if you don't
enjoy it at first, getting involved in all aspects of your freelance business
is essential if you want it to be successful. Start by reading guides like How
To Sell on Fiverr: The Definitive Guide. This will tell you all about pricing
and packages, as well as give invaluable advice that will help keep buyers
happy—and retain their business!
7- Keep Up With Trends in Your Category
In order to stay competitive on sites like Fiverr, you need
to keep up with what's happening in your niche. This means reading blogs,
listening to podcasts, and staying active in online forums. The more you know
about your industry, or even where it's headed, you'll be ahead of others who
don't have time for these activities. If you think of things that are happening
right now as an integral part of your business plan -- before they become new
standards or expectations -- you're going to be way ahead of everyone else in terms
of knowing how much work you need to do and what skills you should focus on.
8- Tell Everyone About Fiverr
You’ve created your account, uploaded samples of your work,
and listed a few services you offer. The next step is to tell everyone about
it! Here are some ideas for marketing your profile: send links to people via
email or social media; include a link in any newsletters you write; mention it
when filling out job applications. Your dream clients are out there
somewhere—let them know you exist! Get Out Your Wallet: Sure, money isn’t
everything...but do you really want a job that doesn’t pay? While many Fiverr
sellers don’t worry about charging until they have regular customers, be
prepared by setting up a payment method right away.
9- Learn From Mistakes and Failures
These are all great articles from freelancing sites and
bloggers, who are experts in their fields. These articles will help you gain
valuable insight into your journey as a freelancer. If you want to make $1000
on fiverr, but don’t know how, here are ten ways for you to do so. You can
share your results or post some of these tips for other newbies out there.
Don’t forget that working hard doesn’t mean success will come quickly. Take it
easy and do not rush things – enjoy every step of your journey! Good luck!
